Upcoming Leica X Photos, Specs Confirmed

Leica is set to officially reveal the upcoming Leica X Vario Type 107 mirrorless at an exclusive preview and test drive event on June 15-16. Thing is, according to both Leica Rumors and Mirrorless Rumors there's not much left to reveal. Leaked photos like the one below have shined a light on Leica's mysterious ads, previously showing off only one corner of the X at a time.

Prior leaks and specifications have been confirmed by these sites and others, thanks to their sources in the know. Unfortunately for Leica, initial reaction to the camera from the user community shows that people are generally underwhelmed by the news. Magic Lantern Hack Adds Video Recording to Canon 50D

UPDATE: It looks like the used Canon 50D models have sold out through B&H, however, there are still a few models listed on Amazon.

The Canon EOS 50D just found a second life thanks to a new firmware add-on that brings RAW video recording to the 2008 DSLR. The Magic Lantern hack enables the video recording function hidden in the 50D's firmware. When installed, the 50D is capable of shooting video up to 1592 x 1062 pixels at 30 fps. However, the 50D is not capable of recording sound since it does not feature a microphone input. The 50D also uses CF cards, and you "will need FAST ones (at least UDMA 6) to get the best results," according to the Magic Lantern forum.
