Canon EOS 7D Only $999 [Deals]

Nikon D810 DSLR Pre-Orders Now Available

Nikon today announced the successor to the D800 and D8ooE, the D810 DSLR and D810 Filmmakers Kit. The new high resolution DSLR is equipped with a 36.3MP FX-format CMOS sensor sans Optical Low Pass Filter and an EXPEED 4 Image Processor for improved speed. The D810 is capable of shooting 5 fps in FX format, 7 fps in DX format and recording full HD 1080p video in 24, 30 and 60 fps.

The camera can now simultaneously record to memory cards and to an external recorder, plus it can shoot up to 40 minutes of video on one charge. The maximum number of images per sequence is now 9,999 compared to 999, and it ships with a built-in stereo microphone as well as jacks for external microphone and headphones.

Pre-Order the Fujifilm XF 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 Lens

Pre-orders are now being accepted for the new Fujifilm XF 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens. The wide-angle to telephoto zoom lens is compatible with Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras. Its optical design incorporates four aspherical elements and two extra-low dispersion elements, and it provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 27-206mm.

Fujifilm XF 18-135mm

The lens barrel is designed to resist dust and moisture, and it features a HT-EBC multi-layer coating for reducing ghosting and flare. Other features include an enhanced optical image stabilization system, an inner focusing system and a linear AF motor with a max AF speed of just 0.1 seconds.

The ultra-wide zoom lens was announced alongside Canon's new EOS Rebel SL1 DSLR Camera kit with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens and EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM lens. All three new Canon products are now available for pre-order through Adorama.com.

Pentax Reveals the Medium Format 645Z

Medium format digital cameras are not known for their affordability. Ricoh is keeping the dream alive for photography enthusiasts with the Pentax 645Z. This 51 megapixel body will retail for $8,500 when it arrives in June. An update to the well-known 645 line, the 645Z comes in four years later and $1,500 cheaper than its predecessor, the Pentax 645D.

While $8,500 isn't pocket change, the 645Z price is comparable to high-end DSLR cameras, and undercuts the entire medium format category. The Pentax 645Z also brings video recording capabilities to a medium format digital camera for the first time. Providing more versatility, Ricoh announced that thirteen 645 lenses previously unavailable in the US would be making their way stateside.

Sigma 50mm Art Lens Now Available for Pre-Order

Sigma's new 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM lens for Canon, Nikon, Sony and Sigma cameras is now available for pre-order. The new Art lens is a standard-length prime for pro-level portrait, landscape, studio and still-life photography. It features three Special Low Dispersion glass elements and one molded glass aspherical element, which promises to provide high image sharpness and clarity.

Nikon has announced that AF-S DX Nikkor 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR lens is now available for pre-order. The all-in-one zoom lens is equipped with a standard Silent Wave Motor for silent autofocus, and Vibration Reduction to reduce camera shake. It also features a zoom range of 18-300mm, equivalent to 27-450mm in a 35mm format, aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion glass elements.
