Canon 1D X Finally Available for Pre-Order
Retailers are finally accepting pre-orders for the Canon EOS-1D X digital SLR camera. If you're interested in ordering the 1D X you should act quickly. The 10th generation EOS-1 is being released in limited quantities, and pre-orders will be filled in the order they are received. Online retailers may also close pre-ordering due to high demand.
The Canon 1D X was originally believed to be set for a late March release but no official date was ever confirmed. Though the rumor mill swirled with speculation about delays do to manufacturing issues and/or issues with the firmware for the 1D X, no verifiable information ever surfaced. Whatever the reality , the 1DX is now slated for a late April release.
The 1D X is geared towards the pro shooter (sports and other photo journalists) crowd with its many professional features like a brand new 61-point AF system, rapid 12 FPS shooting speed, large 3.2-inch LCD and 18.1Mp CMOS sensor. The 1D X can also shoot full HD video with on-the-fly adjustable audio levels, improved timecode and a silent touch jog dial.
