Canon Announces EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera
Canon officially announced late last night the EOS-M mirrorless digital camera with EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. The EOS-M is Canon's first mirrorless camera to feature an all-purpose wide-angle zoom lens for both photo and video capture, with the emphasis being on movie making. The EOS-M features an 18.0 MP CMOS sensor, DIGIC 5 Image Processor and ultra-fast hybrid CMOS AF for high performance image quality. It sports a 3.0" Clear View LCD monitor II and video snapshot mode with touch-screen editing. It also features a manual exposure control and a built-in stereo microphone with 64 manual audio level adjustments. ISO sensitivity ranges from 100-12800, and it's compatible with Canon EF and EF-S lenses.
The Canon EOS-M kit includes an M-mount EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. The easy to carry zoom lens' smooth and quiet autofocus is ideal for capturing Full HD video, and it features Image Stabilization, which compensates for camera movement and delivers sharp images in low light and slow shutter speeds.
B&H is also accepting pre-orders for the EOS-M kit w/ EF-M mount 22mm f/2 STM lens for $799.Tag: Canon, Canon EF Series, Canon EF-S Series, Canon EOS-M, News
