Olympus Unveils Five Affordable Point and Shoot Cameras at CES

Olympus announced five new affordable point and shoot cameras at CES on Monday. The SP-620UZ features a 21x optical zoom lens which gives you the flexibility to shoot moving or long range objects without the burden of carrying interchangeable lenses. There is a "Beauty Make-up mode" that lets you apply everything from eyeliner to eye shadow to your subject who just rolled out of bed. It also includes 3D image capture, and Eye-Fi card compatibility. The 16MP long zoom camera will be available in January for $199.99.

The ultra-sleek Olympus SZ-12 is a stylish 24x optical zoom camera that features 14-megapixel resolution, a retro "smart grip" and built-in dual image stabilization to eliminate camera shake. It shoots seven-frames-per-second, and sports a 3-inch LCD display. It also shoots HD 720p video. The SZ-12 will be available in March for $199.99.

The TG-320 is built to last. The 14-megapixel camera is waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof and dustproof. It features a 3.6x wide-angle optical zoom lens, and can shoot HD video in up to 10 feet underwater. It will be available in February (in red or blue) for $179.99.

The $99.99 14-megapixel VG-160 ships with in-camera Magic Art Filters, HD Video and iAuto. It features a 3.0-inch LCD, a 5x optical zoom/wide-angle lens and a single one-touch HD Video button.

And finally, the VR-340 is part of Olympus' new V Series line. This camera also features the Beauty Make-up mode and art filters. The VR-340 is equipped with a 10x wide optical zoom lens and 3.0-inch, high-resolution LCD. The simple one-touch button option allows you to record video clips in high-definition. It will be available in March for $149.99.
