Pentax Announces Brass Bodied Point and Shoot with 4x Zoom
Pentax has announced the MX-1 advanced digital compact camera. The new manually-controllable point and shoot features a "classically crafted brass body" and a 12-megapixel backlit CMOS sensor with a f/1.8-2.5 4x zoom lens. The MX-1 also features a Macro mode for capturing close-up images, its own Pentax crafted dual shake-reduction system, an Intelligent Zoom function and a large 3.0-inch, high-definition LCD display.
"The feature set of the MX-1, including its large articulated LCD, makes it a phenomenal choice for photo enthusiasts who require superior image-capturing capabilities but also appreciate the styling and construction of a classic camera," said John Carlson, Sr. Manager of Marketing, PENTAX.
The MX-1 can capture Full HD video and features a top sensitivity of ISO 12800. Other features include: A pop-up auto flash, remote control sensors on the front and back panels and 15 digital filters.
