Sony A7 and A7R Specs / Photos Leaked
The upcoming Sony event scheduled for Wednesday will no doubt reveal two full-frame E-mount cameras, the A7 and A7R. For those who aren't interested in waiting for an official announcement, there have been plenty of rumors circulating. Now decent photos are also in the mix of leaked information. Pictured below is the A7R in all its glory.
If the new cameras trigger memories of the Olympus OM-D, that's because Sony has integrated an electronic viewfinder onto the top of the body. Eye tracking autofocus capability is another highlight. While both models will feature full-frame image sensors, the A7 will clock 24 megapixels with the A7R beating this at 36 megapixels.
Sony Alpha Rumors reports that both the A7 and A7R have focus peaking, Wi-Fi, NFC, and the same high-quality body design. The maximum shutter speed is 1/8000, and the display on both cameras will tilt. In-body image stabilization is not a feature of these full-frame, mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras from Sony.
When it comes to lenses, there is rumored to be a new 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom, which will also be available as a kit lens. While no release dates have been leaked, pricing will come in at $1,700 for the A7 body and $2,200 for the A7R. Stay tuned for more details and pre-ordering information as it becomes available.Tag: MILC, News, Olympus OM-D E-M5, Sony A7, Sony A7R
