Nikon announced its "my Picturetown Pad" application for the iPad and iPhone is available for free download via Apple's App Store. The Pictretown app utilizes the iPad and iPhone's touch display technology to make browsing and sharing photos fast and easy. The app also supports Book View, Map View, and the Nikon 1's new imaging expression feature Motion Snapshot.
Book View allows you to view photos as if you were looking at a magazine or a real life photo album.
Map View adds shooting locations and information when taken from a GPS enabled camera.
The Nikon 1 Motion Snapshot feature records 1 second of video before and after taking a picture. When viewed later, the movie footage is played back in 10-seconds of slow motion enhancing any photo viewing experience.
