Nikon has announced the long-awaited D600 full frame camera. The D600 is the most compact, lightweight DSLR on the market. It features a newly developed 24.3 MP FX-format CMOS sensor, an ultra-fast EXPEED 3 image processor, noise-free shooting from ISO 100 to 6400 (expandable down to 50 and up to 25,600 for extreme lighting situation) and 5.5 fps of continuous shooting.
The 39 point AF system is perfect for a wide variety of shooting situations. The system features nine cross type sensors for maximum accuracy, and a variety of modes such as single point, continuous AF, Dynamic AF or 3D tracking. The D600 also allows users to record Full HD at varying frame rates and resolutions including 1080p video at 30, 25 or 24p, and 720p video at 60, 50 and 30p. Other features include: a 3.2-inch 921K dot LCD screen with automatic brightness control, and an optional WU-1b Wireless Adapter. The D600 is compatible with all NIKKOR lenses, FX- and DX-formats alike.
