Pre-Order the Sony Alpha NEX-6

Pre-orders are open for the newly announced Sony Alpha NEX-6 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. Sony promises the NEX-6 will revolutionize the world of compact cameras by delivering a full DSLR experience. The newest addition to Sony's E-mount camera line-up includes a Fast Hybrid AF, Wi-Fi capabilities, a 16.1MP Exmor APS-C Size CMOS sensor, and the same high-resolution XGA OLED Tru-Finder found on the the flagship NEX-7 model.

Sony Mirrorless

The camera's Wi-Fi capabilities make it compatible with Sony's PlayMemories camera apps, and allows users to easily upload images to a smartphone or social media sites like Facebook. The Fast Hybrid Autofocus, normally only found on DSLRs, uses phase detection to detect a subject’s distance and direction for quick autofocus. The NEX-6 also features Quick Navi control, a Multi-Interface Shoe for use with Sony flashes and Handycam accessories, plus it accepts Alpha NEX E-mount lenses.

Pre-Oder the Sony NEX-VG30 Camcorder

Online retailers are accepting pre-orders for the previously leaked Sony NEX-VG30 camcorder with Sony 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 zoom lens. The full-frame interchangeable lens camcorder can capture high-resolution, 16MP RAW and JPEG still photos at 6fps, and is able to shoot cinematic video with a shallow depth of field and clear low-noise. The NEX-VG30 features a power zoom seesaw lever for a smooth manual zoom, a Tru-Finder OLED electronic viewfinder with 2,359,000 dot resolution, and the Sony E-Mount for the addition of Sony E-Mount lenses.

The 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Power Zoom lens features silent auto-focus, optical image stabilization and an 11x zoom ratio. Other features include the same Quad Capsule Spatial Array stereo microphone found on earlier VG camcorders, a 3.5mm audio input, comprehensive manual controls and a media card slot for Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo and SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards. Sony Launches World’s First Full-Frame Compact Digital Camera [Cyber-shot RX1]

Sony has officially announced the compact Cyber-shot RX1 camera with 35mm full-frame image sensor and wide aperture f/2 lens. The RX1 brings DSLR quality imaging technology to the compact camera world. As rumored, the RX1 can capture 24MP JPEG or RAW stills and shoot Full HD 1080p video at 24 frames per second. It features a fixed Carl Zeiss f/2.0 lens with 9 iris blades, for shallow depth of field with attractive bokeh. The lens is also coated to reduce ghost and flare.

Full Frame Fixed Lens

The high speed AF and advanced BIONZ processor allows for fast 0.13 second autofocus, and the camera's ISO range of 100 – 25600 allows the camera to perform in near-dark conditions without a flash. The Cyber-shot RX1 also features DSLR-like manual control modes, a 3-inch Xtra Fine LCD Display with 1,229k dot resolution and WhiteMagic technology for shooting in bright daylight, built in pop up flash, and full-resolution burst shooting at up to five frames per second.

Pre-Order the Sony A99

Sony has officially announced the A99 DSLR. The flagship full frame interchangeable lens camera features a 24MP 36x24mm CMOS sensor, advanced BIONZ image processing engine and Sony's Translucent Mirror Technology. The newly-developed full frame sensor with separate multi-segment optional low-pass filter combined with the advanced processing engine allows the A99 to achieve 14-bit RAW output, rich gradation and low noise.

Interchangeable Lens Camera

The A99's unique dual AF system Translucent Mirror technology allows for continuous autofocus in real time. Other A99 specs and features include: An ISO range of 100 to 25600, Full HD 1920x1080 (60p/24p) video recording, a 3.0-inch TruBlack LCD display, the Quick Navi interactive status panel, GPS, auto HDR, and SteadyShot image stabilization.

Pre-Order the Pentax Q10 Interchangeable Lens Camera and K-5 II DSLR

Pre-orders are open for the Pentax Q10 interchangeable lens camera and the Pentax K-5 II DSLR.

The Q10 is a super-compact, ultra-lightweight interchangeable lens camera with new Q- Mount telephoto zoom and K-Mount adapter. Its newly adopted 12.4MP 1/2.3" CMOS sensor provides a DSLR-quality experience for beginner or professional photographers who are looking for a smaller and lightweight camera. Other features include: a 15-45mm zoom telephoto, improved AF performance, full HD video recording, shake reducion technology, 5 fps continuous shooting capability and a pop-up flash. Interchangeable Lens Camera

Pentax also launched the K-5 II and K-5 IIs DSLR cameras. The flagship DSLRs replace the original K-5 in Pentax's lineup. Both cameras feature the same 16.2-megapixel resolution as the K-5, but now have improved performance in low-light conditions and a better auto-focus, according to Pentax. The K-5 II and K-5 IIs also feature a 3.0-inch air-gap-free LCD display, an anti-aliasing filter, the PENTAX-developed SR (Shake Reduction) mechanism, and 7fps burst mode.

Sony RX1 Full Frame Fixed Lens Camera Leaked

The Canadian website Photo Price leaked an image of a new Sony camera sporting a Carl Zeiss 35mm f/2.0 compact lens. The RX1 features the same Full-Frame 35mm CMOS sensor as the alleged Sony A99 flagship camera, and is expected to be announced on September 12 (same day as Apple's big iPhone announcement) for a SRP of $2,799. The RX1 has not been officially confirmed by Sony, but if the rumor is true, it will bring DSLR-like image quality to the compact camera world. The Sony RX1 also features a pop-up flash, hot shoe, and a DSLR-like mode dial with room for custom settings.

It's believed that the RX1 is the rumored "game changer" leaked by Sony Alpha Rumors a few days ago. It was originally believed Sony would announce a new “professional Mirrorless camera” on Wednesday, September 12th.

Red Epic-M Monochrome Black and White Cinema Camera Announced

Red Camera has announced a black and white version of the Epic-M Monochrome cinema camera. The Mysterium-X features a newly developed Mysterium-X Monochrome sensor, a native ISO of 2,000, and a new low pass filter to account for higher resolution. According to Red CEO Jarred Land, David Fincher (Fight Club) is already shooting his next feature using the new camera. If Fincher's endorsement is still not enough to make you want to plunk down $42,000, customers who pre-oder the Mysterium-X will receive a free upgrade to a Dragon Monochrome sensor in 2013. Pre-orders for the new Red cinema camera will open on Monday.

Pre-Order the Fujifilm Mirrorless X-E1

As expected, Fujifilm has announced the mirrorless X-E1. The X-E1 is the newest addition to Fuji's retro-looking X-Series camera lineup. The premium interchangeable lens camera features a 16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor and Fuji's X-Mount for use with FUJINON XF lenses. In addition to the new camera, Fuji also announced two new lenses: The XF14mm (21mm) F2.8 single focal length lens and XF18mm-55mm (27-84mm) F2.8-4 lens.

Other X-E1 features include an ISO range of 100 – 25600, an extra high resolution 2.36 million dot Organic OLED viewfinder, built-in pop-up TTL flash, QuickStart Mode, fast autofocus (0.1 seconds), continuous high- speed shooting of up to 6 frames per second and an in-camera RAW converter. The X-E1 can also record 1920x1080 full HD video.

Canon PowerShot G12 and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Prices Dropped [Deals]

B&H is offering the Canon PowerShot G12 along with the PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II Inkjet Printer for only $298. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 for Mac and Windows has also been reduced to $30.

The G12 digital camera from Canon features a 10MP sensor and DIGIC 4 processor. It can capture RAW and JPEG files to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards, and sports a 3200 ISO setting for low light situations. It can also record 1280 x 720 high definition video at 24p. The Pro9000 Mark II is a high-performance printer for producing lab-quality photographs. The G12 is normally $429 and the Pro9000 usually sells for $419. It's a steal to receive both for less than $300!

Sony NEX-VG30 Images Leaked

The Sony rumor blog SonyAlpha Rumors published two leaked pictures of the upcoming Sony NEX-VG20 camcorder. The images don't really reveal anything new about this latest model, but the SonyAlpha tipster who sent the pics did include some rumored specs.
